A rock a day

I'm taking some time out from processing photos to put up a quick post. And of all the photos to choose from, right at this point in time, these are the ones that appeal to me. Jo Tito was one of the many artists contributing to the Floating Land line up at Boreen Point and I caught her in a quiet moment painting a rock (or stone). If I have the story correct, I believe she is endeavouring to paint a rock every day for the year. I've heard of lots of photographers taking a photo a day, but taking time out to paint a rock strikes me as a form of meditation and just looking at the photos made me feel peaceful.

PS. Can anyone tell me the difference between a rock and a stone?

A stone is a smooth rock I think.
A stone is a rock but i'm pretty sure a rock isn't a stone.

I would say this is a stone, but 'a stone a day' just didn't sound as good. lol

Size - I would've thought - but size doesn't matter. As we all know some are more beuatiful than others;-)

I'm thinking these smooth rocks are more like pebbles and to the rock skimmer expert they are probably known as an entirely different name. Rocks are bigger- think Ayers Rock and stones are what get in your shoes when they shouldn't. I'm liking all the discussions about it though. Remember your word 'clang' well try and work out a new one- flurry- not like in mc flurry style drinks but sounding like fur - that's a hint!!

Clang = Club + Gang
Flurry = Furry/Fluffy/Blurry?
Rone or Stock = Rock + Stone? lol

There are a limited number of peeps who knew the origin of 'clang'.
